Juvia’s Place- The Saharan Blush Bundle Review

I can’t lie, I’m a blush snob! I only wear NARS, Black Radiance, or Milani. These brands have mastered the art of having insanely rich pigmentation, that applies buttery smooth to the skin. Most importantly, the blush is buildable and doesn’t look patchy when applied. NARS, Black Radiance, and Milani checked all of the 4 things I look for in a blush; Price, Packaging, Pigmentation, & Application. When my kit needed new blushes, I wanted to try something new. Juvia’s Place is known for being intensely pigmented and affordable. Outside of shipping and a few customer service issues, the brand overall has had raving reviews.

Price
If you haven’t noticed yet, I love a good sale and discounts. Each palette is priced at $18 for six blushes. Bundled together at $34 you can save $2. Each blush runs about $3 making them very affordable. If you’re lucky, you can catch a good sale or find additional discount codes online.

Packaging
Juvia’s Place packaging is made of a strong durable cardboard that clasps together magnetically. I love the slim packaging and elaborate designs of African Art. The packaging makes it extremely easy to depot and fit into a Z-palette. The downside is that the lacquer on the cardboard is a pigment magnet and looks a bit dingy after a few uses. The cardboard does a great job of protecting the blush, but the actual packaging doesn’t absorb scratches and nicks so well.

Pigmentation & Application
The Saharan Blush palettes live up to its claim of being insanely pigmented. A little definitely goes a long way. The matte pigments have way more kickback than the satin and shimmer finishes. The blushes aren’t as finely milled as I would like. I wouldn’t recommend using a Beauty Blender or sponge. It will look splotchy and take forever to blend. When I used a synthetic brush, it took a little longer to blend multiple layers of blush. I’ve found the best way to apply this blush, is with a duo fiber or natural hair brush. You will be able to obtain a beautiful natural finish when applied.

Overall, I would recommend this product for the price. You will not be able to find anything at this quality for the price. Just be mindful to use a light hand and the right application tool. A little goes a very long way.
